Finding a park that is relaxing, and has all the essential amenities is a fantastic addition to any neighborhood. This favorite neighborhood park consists of a great playground that is suitable for any age kids. Parents can feel safe letting their little ones climb on the jungle gym or slide down the sides. There is seating close to the playground area for parents to relax, read a book or talk with their friends. The playground also has nearby a swing set large enough to accommodate up to 5 people swinging at a time.
Baseball Field/Basketball Court
Tepe Park has a large baseball field situated close to the playground area and hosts many children’s games in the spring and summer months. If you have smaller children that aren’t active with the sports, they can easily play on the playground while you root your superstar player on from the stands. The basketball courts are well maintained and are available from sun up to sun down.
Parties
In need of a location for your next get together. Why not try Tepe Park. There is a pavilion on site that makes for a great accommodation to host a birthday party, bridal shower, baby shower, or family reunion. There are grills available as well to cook up a feast while enjoying the magnificent weather. You can try to host a party without reserving the spot, but it is recommended that you call the parks reservation number to find out more details on if you need to put a deposit down to reserve your date.
Parking
Parking has been an issue for Tepe Park in the past. There were enough spaces for 30 or so cars, but any more than that could find it tricky. There is a parking lot situated very close to the playground and field areas, which was to have plans of expansion in the future. It should be noted not to park in neighboring private property, as it could wind up in a violation or the vehicle being towed.
As far as a park setting goes, this is a favorite among residents. It isn’t the largest park near Jefferson Hills, but it is accommodating and has most of the amenities that the other more significant parks have. If you haven’t been to Tepe Park yet, grab the kids and make a day out of it. Picnic in the pavilion, play on the playground and take in an evening game over at the baseball field.
